TrueLens ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by Adam Mahmoudi, based in Canada. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data when you use the TrueLens mobile application.
Media you submit for scanning. When you upload an image or video, or provide a URL for scanning, that media is transmitted to our servers and to our third-party detection provider (Sightengine) for analysis. Media files are stored in our database for a limited period to power your scan history.
Account information. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address from those providers. We use this solely to identify your account and associate your scan history and subscription with you.
Scan results. The AI detection results from each scan (score, verdict, timestamp) are stored and linked to your account to provide your scan history.
Usage data. We collect basic usage signals such as your IP address (used for rate limiting and abuse prevention), device type, and app version. We do not use this for advertising.
Subscription data. If you subscribe to TrueLens Pro, your subscription status is managed by RevenueCat and Apple/Google. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but do not store full payment card details.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your media or scan results to train our own AI models. We do not serve advertising.

Media files (images and videos) uploaded to TrueLens are stored in our database for up to 90 days and may be deleted earlier at our discretion. Scan result metadata (score, verdict, timestamp) is retained for the lifetime of your account. You may request deletion of your data at any time.

TrueLens is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS) and access controls on our database. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of TrueLens after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
