These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of TrueLens, operated by Adam Mahmoudi ("we", "our", or "us"), a mobile application that uses AI to detect whether images and videos are AI-generated or deepfakes.
By downloading or using TrueLens, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
TrueLens provides probabilistic estimates, not definitive conclusions. Our detection results indicate the likelihood that a piece of media may be AI-generated or a deepfake — they are not guaranteed to be accurate in every case.
TrueLens results are not suitable for use as legal evidence, forensic analysis, journalism verification, or any other context requiring certified accuracy. AI detection technology is evolving and imperfect. Both false positives (real content flagged as AI) and false negatives (AI content not detected) can and do occur.
Always apply your own judgment. Do not make consequential decisions — including publishing allegations, taking legal action, or drawing public conclusions about real people — based solely on TrueLens results.
You must be at least 13 years old to use TrueLens. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
You may sign in using Apple Sign In or Google Sign In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Notify us immediately at support@truelens-ai.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
Free tier: Free accounts receive a limited number of image scans per month. Video scanning and deepfake detection are not available on the free tier.
TrueLens Pro: A paid monthly subscription that provides additional credits for image and video scanning, deepfake detection, and other Pro features. Subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store or Google Play and are subject to their respective billing terms.
Credits: Pro subscribers receive a monthly credit allowance. Image scans consume 1 credit. Video scans consume 8 credits. Credits reset monthly and do not roll over.
Refunds: All purchases are handled by Apple or Google. Refund requests are subject to their refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

You retain ownership of any media you submit to TrueLens. By submitting media, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process and analyze that media solely for the purpose of providing the detection service to you.
You represent that you have the right to submit the media you upload and that doing so does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.
TrueLens, its name, logo, and all related software are the property of Adam Mahmoudi. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to our intellectual property beyond the limited licence to use the app as described herein.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TrueLens and Adam Mahmoudi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to damages resulting from reliance on scan results.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of TrueLens shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
TrueLens is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will be accurate.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct we determine to be harmful to other users or the service. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of TrueLens after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
